During was the summer of 2012, we were tasked with the obstacle of scanning mountains of photo and home movie collections for family friends before the summer was over.  Not knowing what to do,  we researched video transfer and photo scanning services in the local Chicagoland area.

With that in mind, we purchased a handheld scanner and video transferring equipment and got down to business. By the end of the summer, all the photos and videos had been scanned and saved to digital.  This was wen the idea of  my idea for Scan My Pics – Video and Photo Transfer Services was conceptualized.

Over a short span of of a year, we began a small startup website, created a Facebook community and began to research how to use Photoshop in an effort to edit photos and create some basic advertising.

 

After a few months of work in addition to the help of friends and classmates, word of this small business began to spread. During the summer of 2012, we launch this website and started receiving project requested from families around the area.

 

We are proud to be able to help families around the local Chicagoland area relive their memories by offering services such as VHS and VHS-C to DVD Transfer as well as photo negative, print photo  and slide scanning services.
